Questioning the Council of Crime
Today I will be questioning the Council at the meeting:
Following the recent horrendous attack along the canal in Mile End, what is the council doing to ensure our safety?
I must congratulate the police on the work done to charge 2 people in connection with the canal side attack however crime rates are on the rise. There was a serious stabbing also in the early hours of the morning on Maplin Street round the corner of Mile end station the weekend before last with blood covering the pavement and the forensics team closing off the streets.
Does this not illustrate more money needs to be used to target crime and perhaps open the Bow road police stations round the clock so the police have the resources to show a stronger presence and combat crimes before they happen.
