Campaining trail shows promising signs

Local people are fed up with a redundant council in Weavers (Bethnal Green by-election area), there is a lack of consultation and concerns are not being addressed. As a conservative candidate I will be hands-on making residents my top priority, focusing on reducing crime, keeping the historical elements of the area preserved and making the quality of living better through prosperity. The Tower Hamlets Council need to account for their action and stop wasting tax payers money without consulting them. A recent occurance is the resurfacing work removing the bricks to cover Brick Lane’s iconic cobblestones with tarmac, Tower Hamlets Council is spending £300,000 to resurface the street and residents were only given 3 days notice. What else will they do if they are not stopped!

Spitalfields Hustings - for By-election

Conservatives last night supported Matthew Smith in the Spitalfields Hustings -he passionately landed punches, on housing, crime and political corruption in the area. As the only local candidate he really knew the issues and tackled the questions wisely.

The Former Labour Disgraced Tower Hamlets councillor Shelina Akhtar has been jailed after admitting three counts of benefit fraud.

Tower Hamlets needs honest politicians to tackle the problems and issues the people face in the community. It is time to act with a by-election.
